Highlights

  • A True Historical Narrative of the Mormon Colony of Chuichupa (ca. 1982) by Bertha Whetten Shupe.
    Latter Day Saints from Arizona settled a colony in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Chihuahua, Mexico in 1894. Shupe covers many dimensions of the colony’s history, including schools, churches, town government, and homemaking processes for making cheese, soap, starch, and yeast.
  • Texas, Imperial State of America, with her Diadem of Cities… (1904) by W.W. Dexter and the Texas World’s Fair Commission.
    Printed for the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis, MO, this book includes descriptions and illustrations of many Texas cities including Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Galveston, Houston, San Antonio, and numerous others. It also includes statistics on size, population, and factories.
