- A True Historical Narrative of the Mormon Colony of Chuichupa (ca. 1982) by Bertha Whetten Shupe.
Latter Day Saints from Arizona settled a colony in the Sierra Madre Mountains of Chihuahua, Mexico in 1894. Shupe covers many dimensions of the colony’s history, including schools, churches, town government, and homemaking processes for making cheese, soap, starch, and yeast.
