Introducing Melissa Gohlke

Melissa GohlkeMelissa Gohlke is the newest member of The UTSA Libraries Special Collections staff. Melissa, who previously worked in Special Collections as a graduate assistant, will be serving as a Library Assistant II. In her last semester as a graduate student in the Department of History, Melissa is currently completing her Master’s thesis entitled, “Out in the Alamo City: Revealing San Antonio’s Gay and Lesbian Past, World War II – 1990s.” Melissa received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from UTSA in 1997.

    Your thesis is fantastic! Would love to talk with you. I was out in San Antonio 1961-63. Went to many many bars. Live in California now.
